Bio: Mark Storie

Mark Storie is a name to watch out for, making regular trips across the U.K and abroad with his energetic and enthusiastic DJ sets rapidly becoming known within the club scene.

On the production front his first solo release "Class A" (Toolroom Trax) has received multiple plays on BBC Radio 1, most notably 5 consecutive weeks on Eddie Halliwell's show. After the success of "Class A", Toolroom asked if he would remix the forthcoming release "Couldn't Love You More" by A-list heavy weights (Pete Tong, Paul Harris, Jay P) under their Factory guise. This was also aired several times on BBC Radio 1.

2009 has been a good year for Mark with his “Technostomp” track reaching no. 11 in the Beatport Top 100 Minimal/Techno charts. His “Ker Plunk” track also received rave reviews in the dance press and having compiled and mixed the “Afterparty” cd for the Toolroom Ibiza09 Album, which gained the No. 1 spot in the DJ Mag Dance Floor Destroyers chart. The future looks bright for this rising star he truly is a “Leader Of The New School”.

The DJ booth is also a comfortable place to be, with his RESIDENCY on the hugely popular TOOLROOM KNIGHTS WORLDWIDE CLUB TOUR and regular guest spots at the (recently closed) LEGENDARY END CLUB, HERBAL, MINISTRY OF SOUND, THE EGG, PACHA, THE LIGHTBOX, DEX CLUB and PLAN B. Summer 2009 has seen Mark play several gigs on the White isle taking in EDEN, BORA BORA, ES VIVE, HUSH and more.

His Electro/Tech/Minimal House sets are packed with sinister drumbeats, perfect bridges between tracks, and when needed an uncanny ability to layer bass for extra punch. You can feel the confidence radiating of him as he bobs his head to perfectly matched bass lines!!! Picking up on his talent Toolroom has put their full backing behind this emerging star (Mark works full time with the company in a Press, PR and Promotions manager role) and are looking to further his career both on the DJing and production front. Look out for forthcoming new material and mixes on Toolroom along with a string of UK and Worlwide DJ dates.
